The Gambia and Thailand to Cooperate in Development Projects

On the sidelines of the Asian-African Summit, Minister Macdoaull-Gaye met General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.

Both Ministers expressed the desire to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The Thai Foreign Minister expressed his desire to share with The Gambia, Thailand’s success stories especially in agriculture, agro processing, tourism and handicraft, alternative/low cost building techniques.

The First Consultative Meeting between the Government of The Gambia and Gambians in the Diaspora was convened in Banjul from 3rd to 4th January 2012. The Consultative Meeting was organized and coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad on behalf of the Government of The Gambia.

Foundation stone of new Foreign Office building laid

The president of the Republic Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a new state-of-the-artoffice complex to house the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at a ceremony held at Marina Parade in Banjul.
