GAMBIAN AMBASSADOR TO RUSSIA PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENCE TO PRESIDENT PUTIN


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad (MoFA), would like to inform the general public that the Gambian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Representative to The Russian Federation, Her Excellency Jainaba Bah, Wednesday April 11, 2018 presented her Letters of Credence to President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin at the Grand Kremlin Palace in the capital, Moscow.

On her part, Ambassador Bah extended to the Russian President H.E. President Adama Barrow's special greetings on behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of The Gambia. She also thanked President Vladimir Putin for his reassuring speech and for the goodwill extended to the Republic of The Gambia.

The discussions also highlighted  the Visa -Free protocol for Diplomatic and Service Passports holders from both countries. The bill, which was unanimously adopted by the National Assembly was tabled by the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Ousainu Darboe.

In welcoming the Gambian Ambassador, President Putin described the bilateral relations between the two countries as excellent and constructive, and said Russia is interested in expanding and deepening economic cooperation with The Gambia.

Other areas discussed include: promoting quality education, agriculture amongst others. The meeting between Ambassador Bah and President Putin ended in a friendly and cordial atmosphere with agreements.
